My mom was a hoarder and while I was in the midst of her probate I hired an Estate Liquidator that sounded great until after I signed the contract. he immediately went from being a very nice cordial to a very unreasonable rude man who tried to bully me on several occasions. We found the house opened a few times with nobody in it. Twice people were sleeping - one time IN ONE OF THE BEDS and another time the liquidator was laying in his truck asleep while we were waiting for him and wondering why his truck was there and he wasn't. He woke up almost an hour later. Also, they sold and took everything from the garden hose to some of the light fixtures. Found out from my son that he had found some cases with coins in them that turned up missing. There were no wedding bands to be found and I know they were there. He argued with me because I wanted to keep the washer and dryer, saying that they were big sale items and there weren't that many big sale items in the estate sale. So I let him sell them - he sold the set for $100. I told him I was keeping the large TV which was probably 55 or so inches. I got it back with pencil marks on the screen. For everything I got $1,200. Seems a little low for all of the items that a hoarder can collect. I later found out that he has a thrift shop in Sonora California. I'm sure that's where many of the belongings went as well as to his self. I could not reach him after the sale. He would not return my calls. However he did call me once when he found another rating like this saying we needed to talk. Luckily he doesn't know where I live - I am afraid of him.
BTW, I see that he gave himself a 5-star reading- Monty is the owner of the business.
