We came here with a group of 12 friends - 3 were celebrating birthdays. One knew the owner, so they took good care of us, and ordered food for us family style. It was all very fresh and tasty. I'm glad we tried things this way it got me to taste items I might not have considered trying.
The joint was packed, the people and wait staff were great. There were a couple gaps in time between salads and main course, but I imagine it's a challenge to get that many meals out to lots of people at the same time.
I also wish we had been fore warned that they charge a 3% charge for using a credit card - had we known that in advance we would have paid in cash.

This place is fantastic! I've been dining in Danville for roughly 8 years, and I've been to all the great Italian restaurants. Isola Osteria is new, and a few weeks ago I decided to try it. Our party got seated right away (we did have a reservation though), and all the employees were so friendly, from the hostess to the wait staff. The menu is very bold and daring (and unique, in my opinion) - and it delivered. Food quality and taste were excellent, as was the wine selection. We opted for a table outside, which was wonderfully quiet and warm enough with the patio heaters. I'll definitely be back, I think this is my new favorite Italian restaurant in Danville! And that says a lot, Danville has many great Italian restaurants.

My husband and I love this restaurant!! The food is so delicious and the cocktails are the best too! They handle all of my catering for listings and the owner makes the presentation beautiful in addition to everything tasting perfect. Thank you so much!!!!

We enjoyed an amazing birthday dinner complete with happy birthday sung in Italian. Personel went above and beyond in caring for our needs. Even the clientele wished us happy birthday and neighboring tables engaged in conversation. It truly is a welcoming and friendly experience.

Food seemed prepared several hours in advance like going to grandmas house 3 hours late for dinner and she reheats the potatoes and meat and throws hot gravy on it to make it new. The food was awful, staff was nice, guitarist talented, cute place. Both my husband and my meal was awful.

Waiter was very rude, insulting, sloppy, and inattentive. Our drinks went unfilled for long periods of time. Swordfish was dry and over cooked. Food was underwhelming. Waiter got nasty with our young daughter because he took the wrong order and blamed her. Water tasted like dishwasher. Couldn’t make a dirty martini. Man I presumed was the owner put his butt in our faces for 5-minutes while he hit on a lady next to us, until I finally told him to get away from our table. Only redeeming part of our meal was the busser that saw how rude our waiter was and took care of us.

This is an amazing restaurant in Downtown Danville! We really needed a Sicilian authentic restaurant with warm staff and tasty food.
I have tried the crisp di Mare, Lido Sapada and Branzino, my favorite Mediterranean fish and sea foods.
We have found a place that the food is good, the people are great, and the ambiance really feels like you’re in Italy!
