This is one of the best spots in Leucadia. The space itself is cozy, inviting, and a lot of fun. The wine selection is wonderful and changes regularly. The ownership is knowledgeable, hospitable, and overflowing with charisma. Highly recommended.

Cozy new spot on the 101 in Leucadia. This is exactly what the community needs, it is an awesome locally owned wine shop. Mostly European wines and a lot of the stuff sold here is unique and well priced. Gavin and Amy are the owners are very kind and knowledgeable. Welcome to the community!

Whether you’re one of those experienced wine people or just looking for a delicious bottle to share with your friends during the week, caves wine shop has what you’re looking for.

Gavin and his team are super helpful and accommodating if you need support finding the right bottle of wine.

You can find wine from all corners of the world here, including rare and unique bottles from Italy, Austria, Portugal, France, and Greece - most of which are super affordable and very easy to drink.

They also have an epic wine club that features 2 bottles every month focused on a new region so you get to learn all about the wines they offer.

If you’re local to the Encinitas/North County area, they offer free shipping on orders over $50 which is wonderful. Support local instead of buying from a big wine retailer and try one of their unique reds. You can also order wine from them in California for a flat rate of $15.

Bonus, all their wine descriptions on their website are so helpful and on point, so if you don’t know what to order just read those. They did a fantastic job describing all the wines they have in shop and have tried all of them themselves. Rare, right? Enjoy!

Perfect cozy spot to start the night on the 101. I love that it’s run by a small staff of locals and everything is taster friendly. Kind of wish the surrounding outside area was more of a vibe to hangout, but I’m sure that will come with time!
