We love Damn Yankees! Owner/Chef Dave creates delicious fresh seafood and meat offerings. I had the salmon and hubs had the Friday night Prime rib special. Couldn’t better food and service is friendly and efficient. We have an RV and stay in his adjacent park. It’s very well maintained and so easy to get in and out off I 20. We’ll be back the next time we’re in the area!

Awesome local Bar and resturant. Food is always amazing, staff is always friendly. Owner is always working with his crew in the Kitchen and always comes out to check on everyone and thank them for coming in.

My wife, son and I ate there this past Friday night, our second time there. We sat by the kitchen, so we got to see all the different dishes going out. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. The owner stopped by our table a couple times to talk with us even though you could tell he really didn't have the time. They were very busy and we had to wait for a little while to get a table, but it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious and we had a great time. Not a dive bar and not a hole in the wall, but if you like that kind of atmosphere then you will probably be at home at Damn Yankees.

Food was amazing and the service was even better!! Loren was very friendly and answered all our questions with a smile. It was obvious that she enjoys eating the food here, and I can see why!! I ordered the wings and my wife got the chicken Parmesan and both were incredible! It was so hard deciding what to order because it all sounded good. We will be back!!

First, I never read fine print on a menu, I just look at the food listed. So...BEWARE of the fine print that says they charge you an Extra 3% if you use a credit card! It's one thing if a place makes it clear up front on their door or verbally when you order, but they don't. The 3% charge is hidden! Well, since I didn't know I needed cash when I stopped here, I was forced to pay their Extra Charge of 3%! That hidden fee is enough for me to not return and for me to write this review. Sadly, I had stopped for a quick meal while traveling I-20. It took over 15 minutes to get their blacken chicken sandwich with bits of bell peppers and a side of 'homemade' fries. Sandwich was ok but I ended up later repeatedly spitting up bits of the pepper skins that were over cooked. The fries were all cut into very tiny pieces. Not sure why anyone would cut and server 1/2 inch long pieces of potatoes to customers as french fries. I tipped $5 in cash to the waiter since he doesn't make the hidden policy... it's the greedy owner.

Really bad service. No bartender on staff. Waiters are running around everywhere with no plan. 35 minutes and no one to speak to for order. 30 people at the bar and no bartender. It’s a really strange place as far as service goes. The food is good though.

Absolutely loved the food. Our waitress Chicken was super friendly and did a great job tending to us. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and welcoming. Chef’s did amazing job with our food.
We were from Prince George Va. traveling to the Talladega race and had been up for 32 hours straight when we had stopped to eat.
Thank you all for wonderful hospitality and service.

If you want absolutely fantastic food, you better stop here! Each time we come, it’s even more impressive with each dish we try. From the freshest oysters you’ll get this far off the coast, to the shrimp scampi that’s more than you could ask for, to the appetizers that are delightful! The owner may be a “damn yankee” but his recipes are southern approved, and his staff is on point as well! You’ll be impressed, no matter what you try, from food to drinks! Definitely a favorite spot for date nights.
