avoid at all costs. they charged me for warming up the engine when replacing the spark plugs (S320cdi 06), they broke the spark plugs, they couldn't remove them and they made me pay for it!!! Paid under protest. Situation a few years back. The short bloke was in charge of the repair

Checked my filters for peace of mind after doing service with A1 merc and they were not changed! Now im thinking nothing has been done on the car apart from parking it up to making it seem like something has been done. Terrible!

The owner Chris is a top tier scam artist, he only cares about making money off you and using unqualified mechanics to attempt to fix your car.

You are better off going to Mercedes themselves.

All he wants to do is charge you £100 for a diagnostic of the problem and thats how his business survives.

Do not be a fool and take your car here.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a couple weeks but wanted to see if my vehicle would come up with further issues since my repair. I can’t thank Chris and he’s team enough, I had bought my Mercedes clc here after going to other mechanics and them messing up my car and causing further issues. Chris was very helpful and patient despite the phone calls and having to bring the car back on a few occasions no fault of merc centre . They are my go to mechanics for now on !!! Thank you so much Chris and your team 🙂

Really hate myself and the person who refer me to them . My E class W212 while driving ABS lights on eventually all lights on and gear stop working them fake non approves called them self Mercedes unauthorised dealer asked me we will charge £100 to diagnostic however due to me stuck and only source of income my car I said ok fix it a boy came put Mercedes computer open fuse box then unplugged ABS main switch and did some thing with computer max 15min and here you go mate your car ok it was might be water but now sorted £100 charged within 20 to 25mins even more then a price of PHD / SOCHALRS OR ENGINEERING however because I need to hit road back I was happy atleast my problem sorted . I took my family out along with 3months old child and same night same problem back again.

Next morning called them here you go MR CHRIS oh we only did diagnostic not any repairs so we can't help you I explained him what happened how long his done charged job last and above said was his reply I requested him can you please help me to take ur engineer with me I'll do pik dropoff and he fix my car as I left it on main road and a diasater last night I had he said NO u bring car on recovery mentioned him its already being recovered so now they won't do again for same fault and Mr Chris was like then sorry mate.

£100 charged by him
£150 again recovery charged.

Mr Chris my advise to you do business but the biggest of all businesses or all religion is humanity have fear of God and be safe from some one cruse.

Awful services garage and management work done . Never ever will use them again untrustworthy .

Dear Chris the boss the list of job was nothing to do with the fault vehicle came to you the fault was ABS lights on the DPF NOX won't stop car to drive . And I came with ABS lights on to be fixed not DPF or nox or collision prevention.

Just before I start, this was written with thought and not emotion. Purely is constructive criticism. Theres alot of people who give reviews but its based on emotional reaction to something sore. I am not one of them.

Im “presuming” he (Chris-The boss) is a capricious business man and seems to me he seeks instant gratification. Had an issue with my ad blue and I assumed it was the common fault as is usually the case with my model (W213 eclass)

So i took it for a diagnostic to A1 merc centre.

Firstly, After turning up, just recieved a greeting but no reassurance on how long I will be waiting despite him squeezing me in for an appointment which I appreciated. Secondly, the mechanic (staff member) “nearly” run the diagnostic without telling me or warning how much it will cost.

After plugging the diagnostic in, he walked to the trunk and opened the fuse box and noticed one fuse is missing which will fix the trick. Only then I realised I fiddled about with the box a couple days ago and I genuinely forgot to mention that to him before he ran the diagnostic. I asked him if he could allow the fee for the diagnostic (£96) and he said bluntly that he cant despite knowing I genuinely forgot. The mechanic Went over to his boss “Chris” and behind closed doors I could sense they were talking wether I should be charged or not. He didn't compromise and went on to charge me £96 for a fuse which he could’ve easily let me off on.

Conclusion….as a business, this approach to customers is good for the short term, but bad for the long term. Chris knows he’s stuff when it comes to mercs, but personal traits that I suspect he possesses will be bad for the long term. People want a service and to be taken care of, thats it. Its not always about the money. The staff (mechanic) he was cool. I wont be going there again because he’ll walk all over me again
Technically he didn't do anything wrong and he went by the book. But theres gray areas that exist and he seems like he doesnt understand that.
