El Segundo is a nice-looking city for the most part, but the people that live there are terribly rude. This reveals itself in the way they drive - all rushing around and racing down Main Street nearly knocking over people walking and biking. And it's all the time. It wasn't always like that. It used to be a sleepier town with super nice people, but that's shifted over the years. The City of El Segundo won't do anything about it.

They built a bike lane on Main Street, yet it's pointless, because cars are still angrily whipping around you as you're biking. The only way to solve that is by building a barrier on the far right lane and making Main Street one lane where you're also not allowed to park on Main Street. Too bad if drivers don't like that. They've ruined that privilege for long enough.

The City of El Segundo also allows cigarette smokers to smoke in their apartment complexes!! What?! This isn't 1962 anymore.
They were supposed to vote against that in February of 2022 but ended up not doing that for some bizarre reason. There is no valid reason not to have voted to ban it permanently. The City of El Segundo is fine with you getting Cancer due to secondhand smoke. Most cities have already banned smoking in apartment complexes, but nope not the City of El Segundo.

I've spoken to some of them at the City of El Segundo and not only are they rude like the locals, but they're lazy and pointless. They're merely working the job for the title. They don't care about the city, and it shows! If you need more proof that the City of El Segundo is rude and drive aggressively like mental cases, just go to the Nextdoor site in El Segundo to see the strange people that live in that city.

As I mentioned the City of El Segundo was once a great place in the 1990's and early 2000's. That all changed post 2010 where it grew excessively bad. The drivers there are the absolute worse though. They're aggressive and impatient, tailgating you, racing down the streets, nearly knocking bikers and people walking. Oh, and did I mention crime has increased? My car has been broken into, my storage unit, bike has been stolen. The days of this being a 5-star city are long gone and the City is just letting it run into the ground. They are out of touch and lazy.

If it's being done right it's probably not being done by Mishia Jennings in the El Segundo City Hall. Her rude, stand-offish behavior is on YouTube for all to see. A base salary of $92,000 annually is waaaaay too much money to be spending on her. I wouldn't give her a job mopping the floors at an adult theater. Well, OK. I might give her a job doing that.
