During the fall, the pumpkin patch conversation often comes up with my real estate clients. Dave's Pumpkin Patch is fun for groups with kids or even for groups of grown ups. Some of the highlights are the corn maze (which is haunted after dusk on weekends I believe), jumping pillow for kids, the hay ride to the pumpkin patch, corn pits (for kids). Sometimes they have little animal races. Kids also love the pony rides! The balloon artist (Dilly Dally the clown) will nearly always be on site and will crack you up. There is BBQ plus a snack shack with popcorn, fresh apple cider donuts, and more. Plenty of space to sit at the picnic tables under the trees. In the evenings when it gets chilly, there are also fire pits in the seating areas. This place is a cash only operation. Refreshing since so many places are choosing to not accept cash these days. They do have an ATM on site if needed. Make sure you visit the farm stand to grab some locally grown produce on the way out! If you want to miss the crowds, the best time to go is on a weekday of course. Sometimes there are school field trips for a few hours and then it quiets down.

Dave’s is a great place. Feels like it’s out far and peaceful but it is close to central sacramento. There is tons of space, shade covered tables, and plenty of entertainment for both the kids and adults.

Kids have options like a giant jumping pillow, watching pig races, climbing mountains of hay, a corn kernel pit and tractor rides. Also an outdoor film on projector if you’re there late. There’s more that I’m sure I’m not remembering. All of this is included in the cost of the bracelet. At an extra cost they may also get pony rides. The corn maze was well done and entertaining for kids and adults.

Adults can hang on the tables near a fire pit and enjoy cocktails from the pop up bar. There is constant grilling, anything from hot dogs to tri tip sandos and the fries are always great. Have a fresh made donut or waffle for dessert. I was there last Friday and there was live music, it was wonderful to watch with the delta breeze.

The place is cash only, but there is an atm on site. Better to bring your own to circumvent the fees though. I was able to grab veg for shopping in my way out also by hitting the farm stand. Pumpkins are normal for pricing.

All in all, solid place to spend some time.

I absolutely love this pumpkin patch!!! My parents took my sister and I when I was 8 or 9... I am now 20 and after a returning trip a decade later it is just as magical! The same green bouncy platform I had fun on, I saw other new children of the next generation doing exactly as I did... the same haybale tractor rides, the same absolutely DELICIOUS food, the same hay mazes, corn sandbox, and hay "ziggurat"... magical. That is the only word to describe it.

My mom and I got to relive so many precious memories returning to this place almost ten years later and might I say the customer service is PHENOMENAL! At the front help desk, at the barbecue, as well as where the donuts and sweets were sold, every single employee had friendly faces and gave perfect service (it was around past closing time, mind you!) The apple cider donuts were fresh and warm, the fries and hot cider were perfect for the evening chill, and a 30 lb. pumpkin for 12$? FOR REAL? Phenomenal! I am especially happy to support a local grower than to buy mass produced pumpkins from some grocery store.

I came with expectations and they were all MORE than met. Negative reviews... lacking merit. As a recurring customer, I am proud to give 5 stars for the full belly and even fuller heart (and camera roll) this pumpkin patch provides! Thank you for all you do ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

(Forgive the poor photo quality... Samsungs, amirite?)

CASH or CHECK ONLY
Dave's Pumpkin Patch has an ATM but it will cost you $5.25 plus your banking fees to withdraw cash.

On weekends it's $20 for adults to get in and includes the corn maze and hay ride as well as the kiddie attractions like a pirate show and corn box (think sand box). The target audience here is definitely for young children. You can also pay $70 for a family of four.

The food here is mediocre at best. I tried to order Dave's Big Salad, but they were out of salad, so ordered a tri tip plate which came with potato salad and beans. To my surprise, it wasn't a plate, it was on a hot dog bun with about 2 oz of dry meat and was $17. Water is $3, soda is $4. I would recommend the hamburger or cheese burger. It looked really good.

The maze was actually challenging and seemed well created. I would definitely recommend the corn maze.

The fresh produce looked great and there a lot of good pumpkins to choose from. Overall it had a cute layout and there were lots of photo ops for families. The pumpkins were sold by size and ranged from $1.50 for the tiny ones and from medium to large were $8, $10, $12.

If you are choosing between Bishop's and Dave's, I would choose Bishop's, but this is closer to Sacramento and gets the job done. Just remember to bring cash.

My kids had so much fun they got to jump their hearts content on the big bounce mat. We took a hayride together. My daughter got to ride on a pony which cost 15.00 extra but she was happy to be able to ride one.

They've moved guest parking waayy down the road and offered 1 shuttle to take you to and from. The parking in front is now reserved for employees (who should be getting shuttled not guests in my opinion). Makes it tough for parents who have multiple children to move. Prices also way up since last year.

Edit: apparently the far parking was for the first to arrive?
