I want to say thank you to the owners Michael and Teresa as well as the office manager Kat. They have continued to show our club the Auburn Jeep Club nothing but amazing customer service. They treat us like family. I had a situation come up last minute and the communication between myself and them was spectacular. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for everything. I can’t wait to visit again.

Conveniently located across the bridge from the main town, by the merging of the Downie and Yuba Rivers, close to swimming holes and the North Yuba hiking trailhead. It is a cozy, clean property with friendly and helpful owners/hosts. Although I preferred dipping into the rivers, this property has an outdoor pool. The guest room was comfortable with a large brass iron bedframe and firm mattress occupying most of the space. However, there was room for a chest of drawers, closet, mini-fridge, microwave and small flat screen tv. Also a coffee maker with surprisingly good in-room coffee. There is no a/c here - my room had a ceiling fan, window fan and it had an additional fan due to the extreme heat. With windows in the back and a screen door and windows in front, there was nice cross-ventilation which made the temperature tolerable. Bedding and towels were of good quality.

Very nice and cozy resort in a historic town where the rivers fork. We were able to make phone reservations just one day before arriving. The room was very quaint and spotless. The bed was super comfy, even the pillows. Hanging out on the deck while watching and listening to the river was awesome. Deck outside the Yuba room number #7 also has a great view of the surrounding mountains. My wife and I will be back.

Perfectly comfortable and peaceful. We came for a short getaway and enjoyed the pool, sauna and a hike on the Yuba trail just behind the hotel. The cabin was spotless and comfortable, and the staff and owner were very welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better stay, and plan to come back at other times of the year.

My husband and I (with our dog Thor) stayed one night in a lovely room with a deck looking out at the river. It was cozy, clean and a bed was provided for Thor as well. We will stay there again. Lots of trails to explore for hiking, mountain biking and off-roading.

UPDATED 12/10/23 The best hotel in Downieville in my opinion! Great rooms with very comfortable beds! River is right across the street and great food nearby! Awesome customer service!!

Second stay was terrific! Love this motel! Please see pictures. Very comfortable and awesome!

Super friendly owners. Great spot that we all enjoyed. BBQ and fire pit was a hit. Our unit had a full kitchen with all your normal tools 😉 I'll be staying there again!

I stayed at the Downieville in for a weekend. I had a great time. The accommodations are nice and quaint. It was a great place to stay while in Downieville to mt. bike and hike. The room had a nice porch and a view of the river. The rooms are on the smaller side, but I was only really there to change and sleep. The inn has a pool and sauna. Both were nice to use after a long day on the trails. The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and return. Thank you DVRI!
