The Galt District Chamber of Commerce works hard to bring businesses and residents together to keep our local economy thriving! I appreciate all of the events that they put on, the things they do to keep people engaged in our Great American Little Town, and their commitment to Galt. Keep up the great work!

Galt CoC also can’t run a Hot Air Balloon Festival. Great idea, but really poor execution, planning, and management. Unfortunately, I think they provide Galt a disservice by giving so many people a bad experience.

If I could give this NO STARS...I would! If you hold an event, the ones advertising should post -EVERYWHERE- the limitations and rules of the event. I wasted my time and gas and just moved here to California without any knowledge of the rules unless they are POSTED. I assumed, because the strawberry festival is held at a PARK, pets were allowed. The way i was informed of this event was through Groupon and even they don't and haven't posted that pets/animals were prohibited. Because of the misleading advertising and monies lost, I would rightfully like a gas refund. ...to bad I cannot request time lost as well. I have emailed this department and called. There is no excuse for incompetence when someone else has to suffer for your own mistakes. Hell, when I called, even on a Saturday (today), someone answered the phone and didn't even have the decency to apologize but rather continue to state the rules that are NOT POSTED. I am so angry right now also because when I called on my cell to complain some idiot with an accent answered until I complained just restating the NON POSTED rules without even an apology. LOL when I got home, I used my other phone to call and he answered but asked me to call back in 15 min!! They are stupid, I have other numbers but I'll simply wait till the office is open Monday. I won't let this go and I want my dag on gas money for these non-knowing how to set up an event knowing idiots. After speaking with someone in the parking lot, they went through the same thing! You'd think by now, they would be smart enough to post something on the Internet so buyers would be aware not even Groupon posted it. *update* groupon heard my story and worked with me. However, I am not done with Galt letting them know about themselves but thanks to Groupon I am feeling much better about this. To be honest, it’s really not Groupon's fault. The fault really lies on Galt's chamber of commerce. If you are holding an event, Groupon from what I know, can only post the information you give. Groupon also posted the Chamber of Commerce's website so they did not prove to be negligent much although they should get more detail. The mere fact that Galt didn't post no pets allowed on -ANY- of their websites proves yet again their ignorance.

Vicky, the office manager 5/23/16 at 1:30 p.m. only excuse for ignorantly not posted the rules and regulations for the strawberry festival at a PARK (I have the original post) was that it wasn't a park and it was asphalt. I called with another number because I knew they wouldn't have picked up with the other two that I have. Before she rudely hung up on me, she even had the nerve to question what my issue was -after- receiving what she calls it, my 'three' emails. You dag on skippy I sent messages to this so-called 'chamber of commerce' because they are responsible for my inconvenience and -money- wasted and they have the nerve to get all worked up because 'I' am inconveniencing them WOW. Forget the emails and the responses, Groupon actually compensated me but I will have you know, I will be on -every- social media website I so choose informing people how stupid you guys are. I only called today, as I mentioned on the phone, to get the correct person to handle this rather than the random guy who cannot speak English well I spoke with on Saturday.

The Chamber of Commerce website is horrible. It lists events, but no addresses or admission fees. We come to the site to find answers we can't find elsewhere. Why list events if you don't give all the information?
