On google said they were open and nothing on the website saying they were closed today and the security guard mad because I knocked and any other day you can’t reach no one the automated voice system keeps putting you in a circle instead giving you you to an operator but god forbid you owe them money they’ll hound you with phone calls and everything. Need better or more people to answer phones!!

I called this office and made an appointment to come in and speak with someone about a tax issue I was having. I arrived on the date and time of my appointment and was able to get my issue taken care of with the help of the person working there. The individuals working at this location were extremely helpful, attentive and thorough in their effort to fix the problem. A few tips that might help you-
When you call this office, you will wait on hold for several minutes, but eventually someone will pick up. Be patient, don't hang up too soon.
When you arrive for your scheduled appointment remember that you will be going into a Federal Government office and you will be screened at the front door so leave your pocket knife or any other sharp objects or weapons in your car.

I tried to make an appointment but told I couldn’t without contacting the IRS via phone number that is impossible to connect to due to high call volume. After explaining this, the lady (who like most, sounded profoundly uneducated) told me “ I do not care if you can’t get ahold of them, I’m not doing anything for you.” I pay these peoples salaries and they have no one to answer to. All I could do was leave her as many choice words before she hung up haha. It must be hard having to do a job that your paid for.

I have been trying for MONTHS now to get an appointment set up so I can get assistance in figuring out what is going on with my tax return that I filed in March. No one answers the phone, I keep getting told that there are too many people in the que to be helped, even when they just open, and they hang up. This has been the worst experience of my life and the fact that these people get paid to help and won't is a complete waste of my tax dollars.

Tried to call 10 times, finally got put on hold, after 20 mins I hear beeps and then the music stops. They dropped my call. There was no mistake, after reading other reviews, this proves we can not trust our government to help its people. If you take on a job at the irs, it is your responsibility to help those in need, not waste their time.

So I’m a victim of identity theft and I’ve been trying to fix this issue for 16 years and it has only made the situation worse. I don’t have a pin that the IRS assigns and their website always shows down. I try contacting their 1800 number waited over 1 hour and never got to speak to anyone.

So I called the Fayetteville office to make an appointment and they said no I have to either do it online or Wright them which it would take almost a month for them to respond. I asked what can I see an agent for at your location? She said if you owe a balance to the IRS, which i told her I did and she said well in that case you can make an appointment and said something about 250 bucks cost.

I said never mind I’ll just go to my home state. The office there I never had a problem seeing an agent, never had to set up an appointment, and they took care of me. Wait I guess they were educated not UofA.

The security guard is the worst. I have been there several time, 3 times there were no seating, He told me to wait in my car or sit on the floor. I have 1 leg, and have been on crutches for any years, Ive had 27 major surgeries, including back, shoulders, left leg, I can barely walk down the long hallway. How in Hell would I get on the floor, and forget ever getting back up! He said if I waited in the hallway on the steps it would be considred loitering. I went through hell with bone cancer, you would think the IRS could supply a frickin chair for the handicapped. The guy needs to work in a prison, as he treats me like a criminal for being different.

my rating is a 0,,,,, one agent working to serve hundreds of square miles. and several counties. STUPID

I made an appointment and was there at the appointment time. Did not have to wait long before going back. The guard was friendly. The agent was friendly and helpful. Everything got sorted out and we were on our way.
