I’ve called a couple of times to ask a few questions regarding property, taxes etc. the lady always acts like she’s too busy and cuts you off mid sentence at every question. I was very disappointed in her service, Lack of patience and telephone etiquette! She simply could not be bothered to listen to and help.

APPALLED. I have lived in CA my entire life but we are new homeowners. I received my annual property taxes as well as supplemental taxes. My mortgage lender has electronically paid both IN FULL on 11/29/21. As of 1/7/22 the la county tax website is still showing my supplemental bills as unpaid and have now charged me a penalty. I have tried calling the tax office 25 TIMES and every time I try to connect to someone I get hung up on or automatically disconnected. Last time I emailed them it took two months to the day to get a response. I called your office today to try and get some help and was told simply to "get an authorization number from my mortgage company and to call the tax office to prove it". I asked her how I can get a hold of someone since every time I call no one answers, to which she replied "that's not our office" and then hung up on me! I get it, times are hard, people are busy. But I am just trying to get my bills paid.

I called to ask a simple question about my adjusted property tax bill. The man who answered was very rude and sounded like he was rushing me off. He didn't help clarify my question. Just rude and not helpful.

It was closed the day I was there. However, the staff has always been very helpful, kind and if I need assistance with my paper work, they are ready to assist.👍

The Assessor's office is on the second floor and is accessible by an elevator. When I was there the office only had one person in it and it was not busy. I was the only one there.
