I needed to resolve some property tax issues that I am currently facing. I consulted with Alina at the customer service desk in the downtown building, and she provided me with extensive information and assistance regarding the property tax exemptions available in Maricopa County. Her professionalism and knowledge were commendable. She dedicated considerable time to gather the necessary information and sought advice from her colleagues as well. Additionally, I had a conversation with Stella, who also approached me with kindness and professionalism, offering valuable insights. Both employees merit five stars for their exceptional service and support. I extend my gratitude to the Maricopa County Assessor's Office for employing such dedicated and conscientious staff.

For the last six months, I have tried to get the Maricopa Assessor's Office to correct a unit number on the "owner's address" or mailing address of my townhouse in Scottsdale. I have submitted requests via the website, email and phone with representatives. Representatives claim they are unable to correct the unit number because an outside company manages the website. Therefore, my tax bills for my home go to another unit in my development. Since 2019, I have not received any of my property tax bills via mail!

We received a property classification form in March of 2024, we filled it and mailed it only to receive a 2nd notice in May saying that the first one wasn’t received and threatening us with penalties and reclassification of our primary residence. Called to inquire if there is a way to fill online (to ensure they get the proper classification) but unfortunately no help was offered. Was told fill the 2nd form and mail it. Very frustrating experience.

After researching why I didn't receive a tax bill on one of our properties that we have owned since 2015, I found that someone at the county changed our mailing address to the property's physical address. I tried to update our mailing address online using the assessor's office online form but the form does not submit - nothing happens when I press 'submit case'. I wasted more time and set up a login through their portal and I still couldn't submit the form! I tried calling their office and was on hold for so long that I gave up. How does one get any service from this place to correct their error? Their website is so screwed up, I even went to the Treasurer's page to print out a payment coupon to pay the taxes, since I never received the bill, and that doesn't work either!!!! Unbelievable!

Horrible experience with this office. Turned age 65 and applied for the "senior freeze" but found that they have limits on the property value that make this exemption useless to most people over age 65. Also, I am a disabled Veteran and they want the last three years of income to verify if I am eligible. They have more limits on how much I earn which makes this exemption unavailable to most disabled Veterans. What does my income have to do with the fact that I am a disabled Veteran.
These exemptiona are a gimmick, a big joke.
I hope all the State Legislators are reading this and will drop these crazy requirements to receive exemptions.
Finally, I tried to contact Eddie Cook, the Maricopa County Assessor, via the website "Contact Us" form and when I clicked "Submit Question", I got an "Error, Something went wrong" message in red. Real nice Eddie.
