Mcmurry Hand Forged uses Modesto Welding for all of our metalworking consumable needs. Fantastic service. Fantastic selection. Fantastic post-sale support. Gasses, abrasives, welding and fabrication supplies, parts, repairs, and even delivery. They make what we do possible. The owner is a walking encyclopedia of technical knowledge! Went to purchase ER70s6 filler rod and they Told me I don’t know what I’m talking about that’s not a real product. They kept telling me it’s ER70s2 is what I’m thinking of and that 6 wire only came in a spool. 😂😂😂 Took all my business to California welding supply

All I can say is "Customer Service". I'm not sure who the gentleman was that helped me, but here is the scoop. I came in with a bent anti sway plate. I wasn't sure if I needed it to be heated and straitened or what. The employee took 5 minutes of his busy day and walked out and straightened it right there on the truck. He didn't even ask for any type of payment. What a huge help and I will be back to buy products and service from them.

Purchased my first welder here Dec. 2020 and rented my first pair of compressed gas tanks. The staff are informative, accommodating, instructive. I am not familiar with welding jargon and they simplified and explained terms so I could understand. I will continue to buy and rent from this business.
Prices are competitive but I will no longer shop around if they carry the items as they take the time to educate me and that goes a long way.

Excellent group of people. Honest pricing, and quick service. I get my welding gas, my electrodes, consumables, all from this spot. They've got a good assortment of older stock, as well, which makes finding obscure torch parts easy. They also offer welder rebuilding services, which is great!

Rod was very helpful, informative & knowledgeable of the products I was looking for. Even thou I arrived a few minutes before they closed he still stuck with me for the rest of the time I was there, not trying to rush me out the door. Pricing was good also.
