Katie and Christian at the Elk Grove branch of Sacramento Credit Union each went above and beyond to help facilitate a complicated auto loan situation (an option contract) at a dealer down in socal.

There were issues on paperwork from the dealer that needed to be resolved and timing was of the essence, and I was grateful that my concerns were being heard and acted on.

Whenever I called, I was called back quickly.

Equally important, their rates were incredibly competitive.

They will be my first stop next time I need a loan.

I’ve been a long time member and I will be closing my account when the checks posts. The service at this branch has gone down the drain.

I was there on 4/26 to deposit my check and was put through a terrible ordeal. I usually do mobile deposits but this time as a contractor, my check was much larger than what can be done over the phone.

When I went was when the sketchy customer service started. First, I have never been asked to identify myself more than twice. This time I was asked for my name, date of birth, debit card, and drivers license. Secondly, the “manager” would not deposit my check without looking at my previous history for overdraft fees. His reason is that it changes the hold type. I didn’t care because I’ve always had a good experience, but this time they spent 10 minutes looking over my account history. Eventually I had to ask if they would deposit my check and they did.

They gave me a receipt that stated it would be a 2 day and 7 day hold. Breaking it down clearly. Well 5 days later and my funds are still being held with customer service stating the hold is 5 days and 10 days. So I won’t get the full funding if my check for another week possibly longer.

I’m a contractor. My income is based on these contracting job payments. They have no right changing the deposit types after I’ve left. I will be closing my account and moving to a bank that provides better customer service.

Don’t do business here period.

I can not share too many wonderful things to speak of my experience with Sacramento Credit Union/Elk Grove. The way I was treated from beginning to end; the professionalism, the level of comfort and communication throughout and after my loan experience, Mr. Blake Erickson in particular….second to none. I was made aware of everything in the moment and throughout and made to feel my business was important to them.

They are now my primary bank for all things going forward.
