Manager paddy is rude and has a power trip. Never returning to the lumber yard. Threatened me because I wasn’t using the provided box cutter at work. Told me to throw my knife away with a rude attitude. All he had to do was politely ask me to use the safety box cutter instead of my own. No need to yell at someone over a box cutter. Don’t let little Paddy disrespect you like he did me. Scarborough and big creek lumber are much better choices. Yes big creek will cost a little more but worth it for the customer service and work environment. So happy I walked away from this workplace!

San Lorenzo lumber is clean well lighted, with a small but adiquite selection of tools, plumbing, and hardware. The people working there seem to be good folks. My problem was I ordered two batches of plumbing to be delivered. They were delivered, 2 1/2 hours after I was told to expect them, one of the parts was the wrong part, the other was the wrong quantity. I had to drive the 20 minutes down to their office to get the wrong parts swapped for the right ones and get the explanation that wrong quantity was due to them running short of stock, so they sent what they had but failed to mark that on my recept, or tell the driver. They say they will bring the rest of the stuff when they get more. I hope I caught them on a bad day and next time is better.

Converted from an old saw mill, the atmosphere is just perfect for the redwood area. Their prices are on par and the selection for whatever you want is high quality. I find some brands here that I cannot find other places. The lumber, though, is the main reason to come here. The lumberyard is descently large with a whole barn full of trim and a lot with heavier, longer beams for all kinds of different types of construction.

Location for title sequence of original Twin Peaks? Sure feels like it.
Kind and helpful staff for home diy types though mostly serving pro jobbers. Vast traditional outdoor lumber “yard”.

Since they're the only lumber store in town they can be as grumpy and irritated as they want to when you ask for help. Do yourself a favor go to Home Depot, I know it sounds crazy to say because Home Depot totally sucks but trust me it's a better experience.
