Very nice building. Wait was minimal during the morning. Although a line was forming at 10 am, Which is for getting you a number to the correct window. It does move fast. Also, it is best to fill out paperwork ahead of time along with having an appointment.
Plenty of parking. Don't feel you have to park right up front to the entrance. Unless you really need to.

I had to deal with and extremely rude woman on the phone. About 3 months after I sent my tax bill I got a notice from the post office saying they couldn't deliver my check for some unknown reason and a photocopy of the check. I also got around the same time a notice from the tax office that I hadn't paid my tax and I was charged a late fee. I called the office and got a very sarcastic person. I asked if I could send a copy of that check from the post office and she said yes. 3 weeks later I get a notice that that was denied. I called back and she says oh no you have to do about 10 different things such as proving at that time you had enough money in your account, showing that checks are written after and before that had cleared in about five other things. She kept talking over me and accuse me of talking over her and was extremely rude, sarcastic and snippy.

Plenty of free visitor parkings right in front of building. Only 3 others were waiting in lobby. Took less than 10 minutes to get birth certificate copies without appointment on Friday morning.

they never answer and dont call back. you have to go there in person. ohhh they short and have limited hours due to covid blah blah blah we all suffered especially front-line workers but you dont here them complaining or taking a day off mental stress!. these county tax workers just sit on their behinds watching their 401k grow!

They did not send me the TAX bill, but my Bank. The Bank did not pay as I just paid off my house. Now I have to pay delinquent TAX plus 10% penalty. To appeal the penalty, i have to write an actual letter to them.
Their phone menu is super slow, and you have to listen through half an hour intro prior to talking to live person. Live person is useless, as they just tell you to pay everything and then try to get your money back. Stupid bureaucracy everywhere.

BET NOBODY HEARD THAT A MANAGER WAS ARRESTED FOR EMBEZZLING THOUSANDS FROM PAYMENTS BEING SENT IN ON THESE ACCOUNTS.. This is our government at its best. they rip you off by adding $300 civil assessments as their late fees. their statements state if payments are not made a warrant for your arrest will be issued. which is a violation of ones constitutional rights against threats of imprisonment for non payment. It was agreed $50 dollars a month on a $650.00 total. I was sending in double to cover the next month because of my ability to pay changed, and I wanted to make sure the next month was covered. well the next month came around, and they didn't get their $50 (that was already paid for) and these dumb s counted it as not being paid and charged me $300 civil assessment fee 4 times. I spoke to the man and told him that's why my payments were $100 and not just $50. He never fixed my records. They are missing payments i sent in that i have money order receipts showing. they alter and change the date on your original citations to !!!!! I have evidence of every thing criminal they have done. I just wrote a letter to the Governor who ordered the program and am waiting to hear from that office of the shady practices of DOR office. Not only that, and this was not put on the news but the manager of the SSCDOR office that collects payments on traffic citations was arrested for embezzling thousands of dollars from those accounts. Its is a huge hush hush and kept from the media but I got this from the district attorney of santa clara. So all your missed payments went into that MF** pocket, and those added civil assessments is to cover that amount that was embezzled. But we get screwed and levied these huge fines to cover that up. THATS THE TRUTH .

Our son used the on-line SCCDTAC to pay his property tax using e-check. The county took the money "Twice" (two times the tax money amount that is a lot of money). They said it was due to "System error". How many people had been victims of this "System error"?

This error shall never happen. The county must remember that people still have other bills to pay and the county's error could create financial credit problems to the citizens due to not enough money to pay other bills on time.

Thanks to the on duty county employee who diligently checked and found that error to report so we could fix the problem.
