I hate to even write this review because the store is nice and well stocked. The employees are friendly and give good advice on projects. The reason for my negative review and warning to others is with the long arming service’s. While Sew Bernina doesn’t directly offer these services, it is an employee of theirs who offers it and they do endorce her as she has her brochure and pricing in the store on their front counter. In August of 2023 I went to the store and met with this employee, dropped off a quilt for long arming, bought thread and batting from Sew Bernina, and this employee agreed to monogram, quilt, and bind a very meaningful project for me. After not hearing anything from her I casually stopped by the store in October of 2023 to which she said it should be complete the following week. In November I stopped by again and once again she told me she should have it finished the following week. My calls to her in December went unanswered. The third week in January I went to the store and requested the employees call her on my behalf since she would not return my phone calls. I was finally able to speak with her and she agreed to return my quilt top the following day, which was untouched. I do realize that quilting is time consuming, but this was not a custom project and a friend of mine had brought her a quilt top in September that was finished within 2-3 weeks. She had my quilt top for 5 months, never started it, never called me or communicated, and never apologized for her mistake. This situation was unfortunate, because the shop itself is great, but I will be going to other shops for fabric, classes, and supplies moving forward. If anyone in the Montgomery area is looking for someone to quilt their project, I would recommend another shop.

Friendly, helpful staff. They invited me to a beginner's quilting class in February 2023. Nancy taught the class. It was wonderful. Learned great quilting tips and tricks. Exactly, the type of store that inspires you to come back for more. They even had Tula Pink fabrics. Will visit time and time again. By the way, they sponsor the quilt show at the Alabama National Fair each fall. Love that event too! Thank you, SEW BERNINA.

This place was extremely impressive! Never tell yourself it doesn't matter whether or not you take your machine to a shop that specializes in your brand. It really does! I went to this location because had acquired an older Bernina 1008 for my mom and I wanted to make sure the machine was in the best working order before gifting it to her. The ladies in this shop made sure that my mom's machine was in perfect working order and that she knew how to use it. They cared for that little machine as if it were their own! I don't live in Montgomery so this meant the world to me because I had to leave my mom and her machine in their care and trust them to take care of them both, and they definitely DID! The service in this shop was above and beyond! I immediately felt comfortable leaving my mom's machine in their care. The group was very careful to follow up with me via phone, giving every detail about the machine and to keep me in the loop as they completed the service. I am so grateful to this specialty Bernina store. If you are considering using this shop, GO FOR IT!! It's five stars all of the way around!

Sew Bernina is a well stocked, clean quilt shop with a friendly, helpful staff. They are very knowledgeable about their stock and give classes and can help with individual sewing problems. I always come to them first when I need a certain look in my quilting project.

Love my Bernina. The shop is nice, they are so helpful, lots of fun fabrics, beauty machines, I can't say enough about this shop. Its a long way to go but we'll worth the drive.

Love this place!! Bought a sewing cabin from here and it was at my door in less than 5 days. The staff here is amazingly friendly and very talented. Always very helpful and very knowledgeable of their merchandise and equipment. Very good quality fabric.

This location has a lot of interesting precuts and colorful Fabrics to choose from. They also sell sewing machines but I don't have a Bernina. The only difficulty I have with this location is that they are on you as soon as you come in the door and don't leave you alone so if you like to wander aimlessly and kind of be creative they are stuck to your side and just won't leave you be
