Camilla is a wonderful woman who is passionate about teaching all how to become comfortable with sewing. This place is loved and she treats everyone with genuine respect and kindness. Please stop by and visit her store. She recently collaborated with a fabric store owner “LA Finch.” It’s a great place for all your sewing projects.

Where to start…. I love the sewing lab. I signed up for the adult beginner class with ZERO sewing knowledge and after two classes I have made a drawstring pouch, pajama shorts, a two sided canvas tote bag with pockets, and my big project was a vintage 1960’s dress! I had so much fun learning how to use my machine and all the sewing basics. Camilla the teacher and owner is so nice and knowledgeable, she made learning to sew a breeze. She also has a shop at the lab with all the sewing tools and machines you could need. I loved the learning and workshop atmosphere, all the other students (whose skills ranged from beginner to advanced) were so nice and encouraging so that definitely helped!! It was inspiring to see the other projects being worked on by other students. Please visit if you are into sewing you won’t regret it.

I love taking the adult sewing classes at Sewing Lab. Camilla helps students of all backgrounds and you jump right into projects on the first day of class. I have purchased my own sewing machine, and I was able to complete a beautiful slip dress on my own while the classes were paused for summer. It’s been so fun to create a community of fellow seamstresses. Highly recommend!

I never imagined that sewing could be so therapeutic! Camilla is a phenomenal instructor. She is knowledgeable and fun. The classes are informal. We have fun in class, learning, sewing, meeting people, chit chatting, helping each other, and sharing ideas. I am currently on medical leave and miss attending sewing class. I am looking forward to returning !

To add some fun facts about me. I’ve always had a love for fashion. It started with watching my mother sew 🧵 she worked in a factory when she first got to America in 1973, 17 years old. Throughout my life she always sewed something either to fixing or hem something or she’d make something.

This store brings up such great memories of being a child. I’m a lucky man to have had the privilege of growing up with a sewing machine. I have a sewing machine. I want to learn to use it. Thanks for existing.

Miss Camilla is the best. She is so patient and is able to teach anyone how to sew both of my daughters and my mom and myself have taken classes here and absolutely love it! The shop innthe front has everything you need ...sewing machines, thread, pins, awesome.scissors, needles, fabric and adorable patterns. I love supporting small business in my neighborhood!

My elementary age daughter and I have both taken classes here and it's wonderful! The owner, Camilla, starts by teaching beginners how to use the machines and then has a simple series of projects that progress in difficulty. If you are more advanced she can help you take it to the next level. The studio space is clean and well organized and she has a great shop where you can purchase the machines she uses in the class. I highly recommend this place!
