One star is too many. If there was an option to leave negative stars, I totally would. I have been on hold for 3 hours and 45 minutes so far. I have begun to memorize the hold music. What an absolute joke. They processed my payment for a ticket I forgot to pay (yes, absolutely my fault) however this was in JULY. They have still yet to send over confirmation to the DMV; and now my license will expire on September 20th, after driving to their office TWICE, calling several times a week for updates, and this is the very first time I’ve even been given an option to be on hold. Any other time, it’s the same automated message of “we are too busy, please try again later. BYE!” I understand some places are busy, but this is beyond insanity. They should be ashamed of themselves.

They say fax us the documents that show that money was paid to us when you sold your house. Now shouldn't they have taken care of that when they receive the money instead of sending a letter saying that we didn't pay it when we did and then send a fax showing us that you paid it. And then a month later not hearing from them and them saying we have so many faxes we can't get to them all send it again. Talk about antiquated. If this was private industry they would be bankrupt!

Thanks for putting a LEVY on MY ACCOUNT for my FATHERS DEBT and y’all wait time is ONE TO TWO HOURS. Y’all stole 1,300 of MY MONEY INSTEAD OF GOING AFTER MY DADS ACCOUNTS. I GOT NO WARNING. I HAVE BILLS TO PAY AND ONLY A HUNDRED DOLLARS IN MY ACCOUNT NOW. I’m supposedly the first person in line for online chat but I’ve still been waiting 30 min for any response since being told that. You hung up on my dad after he waited TWO HOURS FOR A CALL BACK.

So the theives of California ...Gavin Nuiscance and the Californa tax board change my refund minus 800 dollars to pay for their illegals....it doesn't make sense when my federal tax refund goes unchanged....I pay my taxes every year....and yet this happens...of.course its the third world state where this happens...corruption at its best. .yes I am ticked. My money should not be used to pay for people who come in illegally to this country....

The wait time is on the longer side, but you at least get to talk to someone and get help. You can also create a myFTB account and send messages that way as well instead of being on the phone. As long as you are nice and patient. They will be with you too. But they will also hang up on you if you're out of line. Doesn't cost anything to be kind. I've called in 4 times and all 4 times was great customer service!

Please fix your website. It’s been busted as long as I can remember. Support openly says it doesn’t work on chrome. Right now server is down. I want to pay taxes but I can’t because of some worthless slob administering this website isn’t doing their job.

Just wanna add my one star review to yours. This place is a joke. I'm a non-resident, was there for the military and (still) need help with some issues resulting from taxes California wants but aren't supposed to get because I'm not a resident (MSRRA Act). I try to get help after waiting for hours only for them to tell me to go to a tax professional, and hang up. This happened twice. This is apparently systemic and I was respectful. Aside from the fact that a government representative should never treat a citizen like that, I sleep good at night knowing I don't live in a state paying the salary of these kinds of people.

I cannot reach anyone!! I just recently received a notice of a penalty of 11 grand in 2018. I never even filed for taxes because I've never worked in all my years. Not once in my life and i owe this I don't understand how I'm just receiving this notice now! If i knew i owed money i would've gotten it taken care of. But no they waited 5-6 years for interest to accumulate to send me this information? Ridiculous. If this is not a scam idk what is. This has literally got to be a joke. Worst customer service. I cannot even contact anyone and I literally got "the last notice" before levy and lien. I'm so done.
