Installation went well. Installers were very personable. Two hrs after they finished two giant redwoods fell on the garage and carport they were working on missing their work by inches.

I had a Suburban Propane technician come out and check my fireplace and line, since my tank had been filled last year and now registered empty. The fireplace is all I have that uses propane. He said that the pilot light uses 7-10 gallons a month. I expressed I was unhappy with that and I rarely use the fireplace. My main source of heat is a heat pump, I asked about options or disconnecting the unit. He said because I live in a coastal area that the line would rust if I disconnected it and he offered no alternative suggestions. I paid Suburban almost $500 to refill my tank. Since then I contacted another propane company and also a store that sells fireplaces, and I shared detailed photos of my fireplace. I’ve learned I am to leave the gas line on between my inside wall and my fireplace, and that will protect my line and keep it pressurized. I was also told how to turnoff the pilot light and ignite it when I want to use the fireplace. I had paid for the Suburban Propane Technician to come to my home and he had not offered any suggestions or advice, except filling the tank and leaving the pilot light on all the time. Is that because selling more propane is their priority rather than good customer service?

Swapped to smaller tank as we don't use that much propane. Didn't take them long and called ahead like we asked so we could put our dogs up.
Have been a customer for years and quite satisfied. On their monthly auto payment plan which I like.
Another company in area wouldn't serve us since we don't use that much propane!

Please be sure to read the contract. This company charges for everything. A delivery fee, a training fee, a yearly tank fee. If you happen to be moving before the three years of your contract, it’s $125. I called a month ago to have the tank picked up...it’s still here. RV’rs if you can fill your smaller tanks yourself...do so and don’t waste your time or money with this company.

Called to get a system check and fill my tank. Took the day off. They never showed nor gave me a phone call why they never showed. Came out the next day and only did a system check but no fill. Been out of propane for over 3 weeks and no one returns my call. Not only that. But my stove does not work after the system check. Finally came out and did a fill for only 10 gallons of which the driver had no idea the price per gallon I was being charged and was snotty with me. Suburban propane sucks. Do yourself a favor and find someone else to fill it.

Suburban is GREAT. The staff is REALLY helpful. They check up to see if everything worked out. The serviceman Jay, installed the stove (and the tank) quickly and neatly. There was no part of the entire transaction that was below par. They get an A+ on every part of the deal.

Propane alarm went off in our RV. So we called suburban and scheduled a service call. They came out the same day. Bill came out that afternoon , run a series of tests checking for bubbles and a pressure test. Also tested the alarm. No leak was found but we now have peace of mind knowing all is ok. Bill was professional, friendly and personable. Listened to all our concerns and explained them away.
This issue was resolved quickly. Very glad we called them.

Subrban Propane makes the whole process streamlined, smooth and keeps us in the gas we need for our wonderful fireplace. When administrating my home can be a real pain, they cause me one less worry.
