Apparently they don't answer the phone. Called multiple times, phone rings for a while then gives a sound similar to a busy signal & drops. We decided to drop our PO Box due to continued rate increase so we've been trying to go through advanced preparation for a smooth transition with that. Not something they seem to be consistent with info on. And, our box rental doesn't run out until the end of the month, but now our key doesn't work. Apparently they have locked us out of our box. So, along with the multiple trips trying to follow instructions that vary, we will have to visit them to get our mail out of our PO Box as well. What happened to the efficient ladies that used to work there & good mail carriers?! We only got a PO box because our mail carrier wasn't delivering our mail on time or some missing. And, this is not all of my complaints, I could go on, but I think everyone gets it by now.

Terrible service. Constantly marks packages as "undeliverable" despite nothing being in the way of delivering the packages. This only happens on Saturdays, so whoever delivers then needs to be fired. This has already been brought up before and nothing has been done.

Worst post office EVER! I've lived in Sylacauga almost 2 years and every single package I've had come through them (not by choice) they recieve then send back to Atlanta so it takes an extra almost week to recieve! I get informed delivery and don't get half of the mail I'm supposed to get including my husband's W2 that didn't show up till May when it was supposed to be delivered in January! Not to mention they NEVER answer their phone and if you go up there the clerks are nothing but rude and act like it's not their problem!

My most recent package was delivered to the middle of the highway adjacent to my home. Thankfully, a family member stopped to check the strange package in the middle of the highway, or I would have lost YET ANOTHER package thanks to Sylacauga usps? I guess kudos could be given for them actually getting it close to my home this time, instead of leaving a slip and refusing to deliver period, which is usually the case. I will attempt to contact the postmaster, but from other reviews, it will be a waste of time, will happily update if I am wrong.

The only problem that I have with the post office is whomever the random mail carrier is for our route. 95% of the time everything gets delivered properly but the other 5% packages do not get delivered at all. I am not sure if the mail carrier can not or just will not get out of the vehicle to leave a package but will leave a slip saying package not delivered because they could not access the delivery location. I live on a major highway, nothing ever blocks my house. Our regular mail carrier never has that issue. When I go to the post office to pick up the packages and question why it was not left at my house, all I get is a deer in the headlights look.

Not one employee here has any knowledge except how to brush you off and lie!!
They need someone who cares to work here not just sour people!
Also carriers (mine at least) puts everyone’s mail in my box and mine god knows where.
then gets a new car and wants the whole route to change mailboxes that we’re fine for 3 years plus they delivered before getting a bigger vehicle. Now the same box’s are problems seems to me should have been a problem before not 3 years later when they change vehicles!!!!!!!

My experiences differ greatly from the majority here. Our carrier couldn't be nicer and our mail is always handled well. I've experienced a minor grouch a couple of times at the office downtown but nothing that was worth commenting about.
