This is not the old JJ’s and it is not intended to be. It is no frills pub type grub and the food was just what we needed. Walk and order and they bring the food out. You can eat inside or out. Pretty much get your own drink. Keep the craft beer stocked and will be in there for your food.

After reading the reviews, I was sceptical about coming here, but my husband was determined to check it out. We ordered fish & chips and onion rings … and let me add that everything is better with beer! We dined outside and enjoyed the atmosphere of the lake and the beautiful sky (which was on fire!). I would recommend getting out of the house and coming down to The Captain’s Seat with someone’s company that you’d enjoy! We will be back!

I visited for dinner at 8 PM on a Saturday night, expecting a lively atmosphere. Instead, the restaurant was completely empty inside, with just a couple of tables occupied outside. Despite having five staff members present, they seemed more interested in chatting about other patrons than providing service.

While the food was decent, even good, the overall experience was disappointing. The vibrant and fun atmosphere that I once enjoyed here was completely gone. The poor service and lack of ambiance made for an underwhelming visit. It’s unclear what the owners are trying to achieve, but this current direction is far from inviting. It’s disheartening to see a place that used to be so enjoyable fall so short.

Disappointed. Not the experience that it used to be under the previous ownership. No one waiting the tables, prices are overpriced for the quality. Fish and chips were more like a fast food restaurant’s. I live nearby and used to frequent this place all the time. Was not impressed today.

35 minutes sitting at the table just to take our order. Good luck getting drink refills. Waitress tried her best but with no management support. Bar tender when we arrived was extremely rude. This lake could use more food options.

We were in the area on a Thursday afternoon and gave it try. Food was fast and great taste. Service was friendly. We had Cheeseburger, Cajun Wings, Cheese Nuggets, and Chicken Tenders with fries. All was very good.

It is located in the main part of the Marina. I does not have any signs, but we saw the tables inside. Lakeview is to the sides towards the slips.

Prices are higher, but they are on the lake so to be expected. There is no kids' menu, but our kids split an adult meal.

Pretty good food. Great if you’re camping or boating at Prairie Creek. A little hard to find if you don’t know it’s actually located on the floating Marina.
