Sam at The Printers Circle is great and saved us about 30% on our printing costs. (I work for a local nonprofit, so this is a big deal.) This story illustrates best why we work with him and not a giant online printer.

Since we're a nonprofit, Sam always gives us free business cards. He did this even when we rebranded and needed...well....a LOT of them.

I realized I'd made a typo with one phone number and decided that rather than go back to The Printers Circle, I'd just order online at Vista Print. BIG MISTAKE.

I opened the box a week later to realize our cute heart logo somehow printed as a giant white square. Not good. After spending about 30 minutes dealing with Vista Print customer service, I finally got a real person to assure me it was a one-time anomaly and commit to sending me a new batch ASAP.

A week goes by, and then the new cards arrive. I open them up and...SURPRISE...the logo is still an big ugly square!! I still haven't worked up the energy to deal with customer service again. Since then though, I told Sam the story and he just shook his head, laughed, and said of course he'd get me a new batch of cards (even thought the error was my fault).

Moral of the story: Get things done right the first time with Sam at The Printers Circle.

Do not do business with this company. They took payment for a job from my client, a non-profit organization right when Covid struck. We had prepaid the job. The event was cancelled, and the printer would not refund the deposit, but agreed to print when the client was ready. Now we are ready to print and can no longer get them to respond to e-mails, calls, certified letters, nothing. And I know they are still in business. This is about as UNPROFESSIONAL as you can get. And, as a designer, I did a number of projects pro-bono for the printer prior to this incident. I could not be more disappointed in a vendor.

Sam took a last minute/emergency print job for me and turned it around days before I needed it. This is not the first time I’ve needed The Printer’s Circle in a pinch. They always come through and the quality exceeded my expectations. I’ve used several printing companies in San Diego and this, by far, has been my best experience. I would highly recommend them!
