Tried Z&L a few weeks ago as take-out and was satisfied, but coming here in person OMG, the food is fabulous. My mom had Salmon, wife got Chicken Marsala and I got the beef short ribs. The gumbo is great the ladies had salads. Apps were fantastic Boudin Balls and Fried Green Tomatoes. A pleasant surprise with the fresh pork rinds. Our waitress, Erica has to be one of the best I've ever had, my tea glass never became empty. Bravo Zeke & Lizzy, we'll definitely be back and fully recommend this restaurant.

The food was outstanding! The crab cake and fried green tomato app is very nice.

My wife had a shrimp pasta dish that was well done! I had a ribeye and wish I had gotten the pasta.

Bread pudding dessert was great!

We just happened up on this restaurant on our way through Heber Springs. The food was simply amazing and we had the best waitress ever! Thank you for a great meal today and we are so excited to come back for brunch on Sunday!!

Don’t miss Sunday Brunch at Zeke & Lizzy’s! What a delicious meal! We happened on this one while out looking for a late breakfast with family and we’re not disappointed. One family member ordered the seafood salad, another the debris omelet, and I had the fabulous chicken and biscuit served with a sunny side up egg and sausage gravy. None of us left hungry m. We will definitely eat here again when in the area.

I'm so happy we tried this cozy place, we ordered a bowl of seafood gumbo and a peacemaker Po-Boy, my husband and I, we were satisfied with the portions, friendly atmosphere and staff but overall the flavor of my Po-Boy was delicious, you can tell they were made with love and passion.
Definitely, we will be back again. It is worth a 50 min drive.

The wife and I have been here twice now. Once on the main Zeke and Lizzy's side and now the "Ben's Retreat" for 21+ dining only. Both are an amazing experience whether it's a night out with the whole family or a quiet night with your significant other! Absolutely a MUST if you are wanting the perfect mix of fine dinning and AUTHENTIC Cajun food!
We ordered the boudin balls specifically because of the negative reviews I read. These were the best boudin balls I've had outside of LA!! I would have included a picture of them as well but they didn't last that long!

This one is a tough one for me to rate as I don't want to be too critical.

They seem to present more of an upscale menu from the online peak we took before arriving.

Once we arrived, the absolutely charming hostess let us know this was a special occasion night as they are normally closed Sunday nights. They were having a 4 course meal with a paired wine option. She checked to see if they were able to accommodate 2 extras as we had not known it was reservation only & a limited guest occasion for New Years Eve. They were able to include us, so we were seated promptly.

1st & most importantly, the food was astounding. It seemed to be prepared with great care. We could not express that enough. Top-knotch ingredients, prepared with care & tasted fabulous.

2nd & where I hesitate but will simply give our experience & observations.

Our waitress did not attend to us in a timely manner, but we were aware she had an 11 guest party, another couple & ourselves. I'm not sure if she had others in the other room.

From our observations, we felt our waitress seemed very anxious & uncertain. She truly lacked confidence in our opinion. She was not engaging, but that could be her personality, though not ideal for waitressing. Our waters took a good 10 minutes to arrive at the table, again, no real attempt to engage with us.

Strictly speaking on our knowledge & experiences with fine dining, it's our opinion there was no proper training in formal or semi-formal service for her nor the young lady who was watching attentively for empty dishes to remove from the tables (bussing). We found out it was her 1st night with the restaurant. As for our waitress, I'm uncertain as to her length of experience with this restaurant.

What we observed at the 11 top was her reaching across the table over guests to hand other guests their plates, seemingly confused as to who ordered what dish. She made several trips to the table to deliver their food & drinks & refills with no one to assist in getting all the food delivered.

As for our table, we were probably 20 minutes waiting on our 1st course. I chose the wine option & the wine came out a bit later than the dish itself. The other courses followed in the same haphazard fashion.

Our overall thoughts are simply lack of training for this environment. It was a front of the house problem. Lack of awareness from management to realize the 11 top would need an assistant to get everyone's food placed at approximately the same time. Not providing adequate training & doing a few test runs prior to the big night.

We did notice the other waitress though our back was to her tables. She didn't seem to have any large party tables. She was more confident & engaging, even making sure we'd been waited on as she noticed we didn't have any drinks in a timely manner. She really took her time to engage with the table of 5 ladies behind us. My guess is not only her maturity but also her experience lent itself to her ability to be confident & not easily rattled by any bumps in the night.

Hubby made reservations for Valentine's night and we drove the hour and a half for a different experience and a great one! It was our first visit. The restaurant atmosphere is very laid back and you might not be be expecting what you are about to served if you didn't know. They had an excellent Valentine's menu but we decided to order off the regular menu. We started with Boudin Balls and they were perfect. He ordered the Beef Short Ribs and Mac and Cheese and said it was the best Beef dish he had ever had. I tried it and agree. I got the Shrimp and Grits and it was awesome too. We have a lot of leftover ? If you're thinking spicy food, traditional mac and cheese, grits or short ribs, it's not what you think at all. They have a bit of everything with its own style and flavor, including a wide variety of seafood, frog legs and specialty dishes. It's well worth the coins you spend for a special occasion.
